Eminem On February Cover Of XXL Magazine

Well look what we have here. Is Shady Records quietly building a lyrical empire right under our very noses? The answer is YES!

“Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse, it’s kinda phase two of Shady,” says Eminem. “It’s the new generation of Shady Records and as we’re trying to rebuild our label, it’s exciting for hip-hop and with all of these forces coming together and with what everybody’s capable of on the mic, it’s gonna be fun.”

Eminem To Return To The Big Screen

Eminem

Eminem is ready for his close-up. Having conquered the charts with last year’s best-selling album Recovery, the Detroit rapper is following up his starring role in 2002’s 8 Mile with his first foray on the big screen in almost a decade.

According to NYMag Vulture, Em will star in the upcoming crime thriller Random Acts of Violence, produced by his Shady Films associates Paul Rosenberg and Stuart Parr. The Grand Theft Auto-inspired script, which is being compared to The Town and The Departed, focuses on an ex-con fresh out of prison, with his old gang trying to coax him back on their team and the FBI trying to use him as a pawn to capture the criminals.

Instead of choosing sides, the ex-con tries to pit them against one another to exact revenge on those who initially put him behind bars. Violence is still in development, but director David Von Ancken (Showtime’s “Californication”) will most likely helm the pic.

I’m not sure why Eminem put his vocals on Diddy’s big hit, but it seems he indeed did. I have a sneaking suspicion this wasn’t intended to be released, but with all the leaks who can really be sure anymore.

With his third album H.F.M. 2 (The Hunger for More 2) in stores today, Lloyd Banks teams up with Eminem for the Boi-1da-produced “Where I’m At.” Over oozing synths and brash drums, Em drops a visceral verse aimed at an ex, rapping about his tortured heart while putting down the former flame. Banks picks up where he left off, spitting, “Love is like a cancer when you don’t let go.”

“Lyrically it’s taking it to another place,” the G-Unit member previously told Rap-Up TV. “This is a unique record and it’s powerful.”
